This is an English translation of the Korean original. If the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
View the Korean originalThis page explains how to delete your RoostDay account (operated by 주식회사 디엑스플랜) and the data that comes with it. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account.
1. Deleting your account yourself
- Log in to the RoostDay app or roostday.com, then tap Profile → Delete account.
- Choose a reason and confirm, and your deletion is requested and you are signed out on every device. There is no waiting for approval.
- Deletion becomes final 30 days after the request. Before then, sign in again and tap “Cancel deletion” to undo it; nothing is deleted until it is final.
2. If you cannot log in
- If you have lost your Kakao or Google account and cannot log in, please send a request to support@dxplan.kr.
- Sending it from the email address you signed up with makes identity verification faster. After verifying, we process the request without delay and reply with the result.
3. What is deleted once deletion is final
- Your nickname and profile photo.
- You leave every group you belong to. If you were the host, hosting is handed over to another participant before you leave — we never leave an album that no one can manage.
- Device tokens stored for sending notifications.
- If you turned on two-step verification, your authenticator app (OTP) registration and your recovery email.
- Your consent status is reset, so if you come back with the same account, we welcome you as a first-time user.
4. What remains, and for how long
- Photos and videos you uploaded to albums and posts you left remain, because they are also the albums of the other participants you took photos with. The uploader's name is changed to “탈퇴한 사용자” (Deleted user). You can delete them yourself before deleting your account; afterwards, please request it at the contact above.
- Social account link information used for login — kept so that you can sign up again with the same account. If you want this deleted as well, please request it at the contact above.
- Photos in the trash — 15 days from the day they were moved there. They can be restored within that period and are deleted from storage afterwards.
- Sign-in records — 90 days.
- Access records — 1 year (366 days). We record only actions that touch personal information.
- Consent records — kept, because the fact that consent was obtained is itself evidence.
- Statutory retention — records of contracts and order withdrawals: 5 years; records of payments and supply of goods: 5 years; records of consumer complaints and dispute resolution: 3 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce). Access logs under the Protection of Communications Secrets Act: 3 months.
5. Keeping your account and deleting only some data
- You can move photos you uploaded from an album to the trash. They can be restored within 15 days and disappear after that.
- If you appear in a photo you did not upload, you can request that the photo be taken down.
- You can request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing at any time at the contact above.
