This is an English translation of the Korean original. If the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
View the Korean originalThis consent is optional. You can use all of RoostDay's features as usual even if you do not consent.
1. What you will receive
- News about new features and newly released invitation templates.
- Information about event benefits such as discounts and coupons.
- You can receive them by email and by app push notification, and we ask for consent to each channel separately. You may consent to just one, and you may withdraw just one.
- If you consent to email, we send to the address you gave when you signed up. If you consent to app push, we send to the devices where you have turned notifications on — the notification token itself is stored for any device with notifications on, regardless of this consent (Privacy Policy, sections 2 and 4); this consent covers using that token for advertising messages.
2. Notifications that do not need this consent
- Notifications about a service you are using — such as notices that an album is about to expire, payment receipts, and invitation response alerts — are sent regardless of this consent.
- However, we do not mix discount offers into those notifications. Discounts are advertising, so they go only to people who have consented.
- Activity notifications — new photos, comments, mentions — also do not need this consent. Those are turned on and off per device, under “Activity alerts” on the profile screen.
3. How messages are sent
- The Company is not currently sending advertising messages. This consent is collected in advance for when we do.
- If we start sending them, we will use only the channels you consented to. If you consented to email only, they go by email only; if to push only, by push only.
- The title of each advertising message will be marked “(광고)” (Advertisement), and the body will include instructions for opting out.
- We do not send advertising messages between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. the next day.
4. How to withdraw consent
- Under “Marketing messages” on the profile screen you can turn off email and app push separately; turning one off withdraws that channel immediately. The time you turned it off, and which channel, are kept in the consent record as well.
- If we start sending messages, each message will also include an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Every 2 years after you consent, we will ask again whether you wish to keep receiving them.
- If you consented before 28 September 2026, when there was a single “Marketing” checkbox, we treat that as consent to both channels — the notice you agreed to named both. You can turn either one off on the profile screen.
